Race Unity Celebration

They are promoting racial harmony and understanding. Ewert Park in Joplin was the site Sunday for live music and a picnic. People were celebrating RaceUnity Day. Members of the Joplin Area Bahai Community said the purpose of the event is to overcome racial prejudice in our country.

The Race Unity Day celebration first began in the United States in 1975.
