Baha段 functionaries accorded reception

KOCHI: The state Baha段 Council of Kerala on Saturday accorded a reception to Dr Thahira Vajdi, chairperson, National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha段s in India, and B Afshin, former member of the Continental Board of Counsellors in Asia, at the Baha段 Centre, here on Saturday.

Identified by Encyclopaedia Britannica as the fastest spreading faith in the world after Christianity, the Baha段 faith was founded by Baha置値lah in Iran in 1884 and has followers across the world. Its international headquarters, Universal House of Justice, is situated atop Mount Carmel in Haifa in Israel.

Its national headquarters, the National Spiritual Assembly, is in New Delhi. The community痴 only place of worship in the country, the Lotus Temple, is also in New Delhi. Incidentally, India has the largest number of Baha段 followers in the world.
